Breaking News: New Chairperson & Executive Changes

Last week at the OG national conference, MD Matthew Denehy announced that Jane Martin, Director of Oracle Group, has been appointed our new Chairperson, following Steven Campbell’s decision to step down as Board Chair after seven years at the helm.

Jane is a complete superstar and a hard-working leader who has achieved so much in her 5 years at Oracle Group Australia. She will give the board the direction and leadership it needs to drive a sustainable and exciting future.

Ms Martin, who previously served as Oracle Group’s Director, praised Mr Campbell’s efforts in building a “highly successful insurance network”, which has seen its annual business grow from $13 million to $146 million in gross written premiums and employ 86 authorised representatives across five states throughout his tenure.

“This business is dynamic, and I see so much potential to continue building on the successful business model that is currently in place and supporting our Authorised Representatives to thrive,” Ms Martin said.

And there’s more. Mr Denehy also named Scott Wilford to Oracle Group’s National Board in a newly formed Director Sales and Marketing role. With 26-year insurance experience under his belt, Scott is the perfect person to elevate our authorised representative network and further enhance our market presence.

“These key national board appointments demonstrate our commitment to continue building our business and broker network. We are doing everything we can to set our network up for growth and a sustainable future,” Mr Denehy said.

The three-day event took place from October 30 to November 2 and hosted several keynote speakers for its 110 attendants, including insurance education workshops from LMI Group founder Allan Manning and workplace mental health forums with Damien Coates representing the Black Dog Institute.

Also, a few awards were handed to the network, being:

Georgina Brown and Samantha Johnson, from J&B Insurance, were awarded as the Oracle Group’s Authorised Representative of the Year.

Zurich received the Partner of the Year award, and Account Executive Nicole McCartney was awarded Oracle Group Employee of the Year.

“Our focus was to create a friendly environment to facilitate building relationships between our authorised representatives, staff and partners, which we did,” Oracle Group National Marketing Coordinator Paola Kohl.

Next year we’ll be taking our conference to new heights! Planning is already underway for the OG conference 2023 in Queenstown, New Zealand.
